Hi guys,
i'm here only to know the truth.

Is it possibile to create a camera mod (maybe using the porting of Note 2 camera) that asks which one gallery use for default?

Many of us using galaxy s3 asks for this mod. We'd like a (great) stock camera that can open after a shoot another gallery (like obviously quickpic).

i know the problem is the privacy with the lockscreen, or similar, but none of you great dev can help us????:crying: :crying: :crying:

Hei all, what do you think? Will Galaxy S3 I9300 receive the 5.0 lollipop ?
For 4.4 kitkat we was refused because our Galaxy S3 have just 1 GB of RAM, and now Samsung announced Galaxy XCover 3 wich have just 1 GB of RAM and have 4.4.4 kitkat, and some S5 function, this meaning that it can run even on our Galaxy S3, but Samsung just.. don't wants to bring us update... :rolleyes:
What do you think? Will Samsung GS3 i9300 receive 5.0 ? :D

I have done, on three S3's now, the same mistake that many have probably done, especially according to all the threads on various sites I have seen. And whatever that mistake is - I still don't know what I have done to cause it - none of the solutions actually work.

I am refering to Bricking my phone, or partially. In my case the phone won't boot properly and will not get past the Samsung logo

The problem I found with all the other threads and solutions is that they all assume:

1. You can access the phone via a PC, but as you can't boot the PC drivers do not install and it is not recognised, so Odin, and the fantastic Android Toolkit do not work
2. They are very complicated or even very risky.
3. And I have yet to find one that works.

I am not an engineer or Android, or any other type of programmer - at all. I simply follow instructions, so whatever I did had to be simple. :)

So I fixed my S3 and I am sure this will work with ANY device, S3, S4, S5, Sx???? or make. It did assume a second working model and that the phone could at least read a SD Card.

1. I simply booted my working S3 in to Recovery, in my case TWRP
2. Made a backup by going in to "Backup" but JUST selected the "BOOT" Partition (I did notice the EFS option too, and that is another problem users have - another day)
3. "Swipe to Back Up"
4. I then used "Advanced" and "File Manger" to find the backup and copy it to the SDCard.
   May even be able to rename it BOOT IMAGE, but not tried that.
5. Shut down

1. I now Booted the faulty S3 in to Recovery
2. Backed up the Phone as above (I did this to create the BACKUP folder for TWRP): "Backup" selected BOOT partition to backup, "Swip to Back up".
3. Then used the "File Manager" to find the BACKUP folder, within which is another folder with a long name (4df159e030809f25 (eg)) within which is "THE FAULTY BACKUP", probably called something like "2015-01-30-08--37-18 omni_19300-userdebug4.4.4 KTU...". Take a note of the name of the file or delete it.
4. Shut Down

1. Insert the SDCard

1. Reboot in to Recovery again
2. Again going in to "Advanced" and "File Manager" find the new backup on the SDCARD and copy it to the location where the faulty backup was/is located. Probably: inside SDCARD - TWRP - BACKUP - 4df159e030809f25 (eg)

1. Then go into "Restore" again
2. Select the good file and restore it - "Swipe to Restore". If the file does not appear it is because it is in the wrong location. there is no browse facility in TWRP Restore, sadly.
3. "Reboot"

All should now reboot in to the OS of your custom ROM.

I have network problems with my T-Mobile (d2tmo) Samsung Galaxy S3. When I switch from 2g to 4g the phone work good (on 4g) for various minutes, then the network stop working and not able to make/receive call's and texts, also not data available but still showing 3g on notification bar.

For temporarily fix the issue I switch back to 2g network and then switch to 4g, the phone work fine few minutes on 4g, then drop/stop working again.

When I use the phone on 2g network work perfect all day.

Actually this is my setup on this device:

Model: SGH-T999

ROM: CM 11 ( cm-11-20150208-NIGHTLY-d2lte)

Android: 4.4.4.

Base Band: T999UVUENC2

Kernel: 3.4.104


Any suggestion for fix this issue?

We all know that out S3 International I9300 have just 1GB Ram
I have 2 Questions :
1 : Can we improve those ram or change them ? I mind like changing the chip from other Motherboard like on of the I9301 or I9305 ?
2 : Can we change the original Motherboard to other like I9301 for exemple ?

Hello people, this is my first thread so if anythings wrong please forgive me.
Problem is I got a black spot on my galaxy s3 camera. I already tried to remove the lens and blow inside like in one tutorial on youtube but it doesn't fix my problem. Soo I want to know if it's camera or lens problem. I would order it from ebay but I don't know in which part is problem exactly so I don't want to spend money on wrong part.

I created this thread with the sole aim of helping the owners of the Japanese SAMSUNG GALAXY ALPHA SC-03E NTT DOCOMO to install the latest version of Android (LOLLIPOP) on their devices without much hassle. All updates will be provided in the future.

REQUIREMENTS
1. A properly functioning SAMSUNG GALAXY ALPHA SC-03E NTT DOCOMO. We don’t want to receive any feedback from users with faulty phones.
2. PERMANENT ROOT WITH SU INSTALLED
IF YOU ARE RUNNING A CUSTOM ROM 4.X AND HAVE A CUSTOM RECOVERY INSTALLED SKIP TO “THINGS TO DOWNLOAD”
If you don’t have root and you are running on the stock android 4.3 or 4.x here is a simple way to root your device. All the CF Auto Root methods I found never worked for me.
a. Firstly, you are probably on an older OS like 4.1, 4.2 or 4.3. You might loose all your data depending on your OS(I was running the 4.3 SC03EOMUBND2 and I didn’t loose anything, not sure of 4.1 and 4.2)
b. Download one of these stock rooted roms.
4.3 SC03EOMUBND2 or 4.3 SC03EOMUBNH2
c. Download Samsung drivers here and install it
d. Download Odin on your PC and open it
e. Make sure USB debugging is enabled on your phone in developer settings.
f. Hold the Power Button + Volume Down + Home at the same time. Your phone will enter Download Mode.
g. Now connect your phone to the PC via USB cable whiles Odin is opened.
h. Now in Odin click the PDA button and open the Rom that you downloaded earlier.
i. Make sure F.Reset time and Auto reboot are all ticked
j. Now click Start button and wait for it to display PASS at the top left corner. Your Phone might restart a few times.
k. After the Last restart and the Display of the Pass you should have root now with super su installed.
l. Congrates you have root. ;)
m. If you have an NK2 rom go check this thread on how to root it.
3. FULLY CHARGED BATTERY. This is to prevent the phone from going off in the flashing process
4. A CUSTOM RECOVERY installed.
If you don’t have one download Sc03e-KK-KBC-CWM-v6.0.5.1_r2-recovery and install with Odin with same procedure.
NOTE: If you have an older CWM installed, update to this one.

THINGS TO DOWNLOAD
1. ANDROID LOLLIPOP ROM 5.0.2 (CM12.0 UNOFFICIAL)
2. GOOGLE APP(GAPPS) STOCK OR FULL IS RECOMMENDED

INSTALLING THE LOLLIPOP ROM
1. Copy the downloaded files and place them in the phone memory or SD card(recommended)

3. To Enter the recovery menu, turn off your phone completely. PRESS and HOLD the POWER button + Volume UP + HOME button at the same time . When DOCOMO is displayed leave the power button and still keep holding the other buttons.
4. In recovery, use volume buttons to navigate and Power to select. Now go to wipe data/factory reset and wipe data, then wipe cache partition , then go to advanced and wipe dalvic cache.
5. When all is done go to install zip and install the cm-12-20150213-UNOFFICIAL-sc03e.zip first.
6. When done install the GAPPS package.
NOTE: IF YOU HAVE CWM 6.0.4.7 THE GAPPS PACKAGE WONT INSTALL.
7. Now go back and wipe data , cache partition and dalvic cache again then reboot. Upon exiting CWM you will be asked to fix your root binaries... say yes!
8. Your phone will boot into Android L with a Cyanogen boot animation.
9. Set up you phone and viola! :good: ;)

• Two apps (Felicalock and MobileTV might stop .. its fine don’t worry)
Just that face unlock wont work and mobile tv too..
• The Volume of the mic is a lil bit low but to be honest I was able to make calls perfectly.
• The is a bit of lag when you touch the keypad button in the dialer.
• Data is solid but might sometimes take a lil while to turn on(think its network related)

Hi,
I've been looking at a few custom ROMs - Omni/Paranoid Android.

Do any of them allow for customising a long press of the back button and menu button? I couldn't see.

I'd like, for example, long press back button to goto HOME page - and long press menu button to goto task manager.

If not, any good apps or other ROMS?

Hi, I have an S3 (i9300) with CM11 always in his last nightly. I have a problem because the mobile download quickly and loading slowly. The Phone I've switched to other ROMs, kernel, I changed the charger, battery, so I formatted, even with few apps I still have the same problem.

Since 5 months ago I have this problem, turn off the mobile live it on "Airplane mode" and then leave even more than 6 hours to fully charge it.

I'm a user "heavy" since I am constantly using it in Whatsapp, mail, other social networks, etc ... But it does come five months presenting this issue and I want my phone before.

I've noticed that sometimes in certain-outlets (do not know how they call it in Spain but just Google it appears) sometimes faster loading than others but in other circumstances load equal than others, perhaps because it is a little paranoid but already has me tired this problem.

Maybe everyone say you buy a new phone but not if they have fixed the problems that exist in Venezuela and buy a new one is almost impossible.

I hope some help from you. Thanks in advance.

HI
i have a very big problem
After I setup cm12 ROM
i had no root access
Whatever I tried, but I couldn't find anything
Then I rebooted my device
And the device can't access recovery :(
And can't start up just the galaxy s3 logo over and over
The problem that my USB input is corrupted for 7 months now!!!
So is there any way that i can reset my device even a hard way or something
As computer Odin won't work as I can't connect my device to my PC
PLEASE I NEED HELP FROM PROS

Hei all, what do you think? Will Galaxy S3 I9300 receive the 5.0 lollipop ?
For 4.4 kitkat we was refused because our Galaxy S3 have just 1 GB of RAM, and now Samsung announced Galaxy XCover 3 wich have just 1 GB of RAM and have 4.4.4 kitkat, and some S5 function, this meaning that it can run even on our Galaxy S3, but Samsung just.. don't wants to bring us update... :rolleyes:
What do you think? Will Samsung GS3 i9300 receive 5.0 ? :D
