Hey guys, being a lucky s3 user,i have faced severe charging issues in past times. If you had them too, this thread might just help you out.
Q1- My battery is charging very slowly.
Q2- My battery drains on using heavy apps even when it is put on charging.
And some related questions to charging issues of s3 just can be solved by the following method:-
Step1:- Check the charger output. Mostly, people get 500A (ampere) current charger that is half of that of original. So you know you are giving half charging to your beloved s3,don't expect it to charge fast.
Buy chargers with 1A current as output.
Step2:- If you use adapter with 1A output, the issue can still persist. Why? Because your usb cable attached to adapter might not be drawing sufficient current (1A). Try some other cords.
Step3:- You have a good charger,be it good adapter and cable, and still have the issue! What now?
This is the fundamental method of checking charging:
To do this, simply download Galaxy charging current app from playstore (Note:Requires root). Plug in the charger and check how much current you are getting using refreshes in app. This will help you assess better.
Step4:- The charging fluctuates, sometimes 1A,sometimes 460ma and sometimes just 100ma,what now? This is the issue with your charging jack where you insert the charging pin. What you can do? You can either get the jack replaced or maybe buy some cover that is tight enough to hold the pin without movement. (i do same since its cheaper :p )
Hope this thread helps yoi out of some miseries.
