Im new to XDA and i hope i will,one day, evolve to one of you geniuses.
My problem here is that my galaxy S3 phone (GT-I9300) has an IMEI 0049.....0000 and i couldnt manage to restore its original IMEI because,well i didnt back up my efs. infact i bought it that way and guess what it was working at first but slowly it stopped. Then it got to a point were when i actually press the back side alittle bit it would pick up signal. But now its completely gone and by that i mean 0049... IMEI and no signal.
After i flashed it with 4.3 stock firmware it still got stuck into that fake imei so i tried to manually write down its original imei (still im on the legal side...) using NV item reader writer and NV generator using the IMEI on the back side of the phone...I couldnt process it coz NV reader writer said FAILE...PHONE DOES NOT ANSWER. Again i installed an emergency modem XXEMG6 zip file through CWM ,which i got from a developer in XDA. Now alittle bit change, it started to ask me SIM PIN when i turn the phone on...just as a regular phone does. then when i go inside ,well nothing much changed. IMEI is same 0049 and when i try to pick operator manually it says error reading. What could be the solution guys? I have dug XDA forums so deep. I have read,learned and tried alot of things so if u think ill find the solution through reading, Im telling u i probably lost part of my eyes trying to find a solution online.
