My Galaxy S3's EMMC is defunct, would this be a solution?

I've been trying to fix my paper weight s3 for a while now with no luck. After figuring out the problem (sudden death syndrome, EMMC dysfunctional), I did not want to pay $150 to fix a $100 phone.

So I am thinking of just buying a motherboard instead. If i get the s3 motherboard for my phone, would it work? Motherboards are much cheaper than having to fix the darn EMMC.

I would appreciate any helpful input.
