Galaxy s3 micro usb port fix

Hello,
So my micro usb port started to make problems : otg cable wouldn't work at all, and charging was also troublesome, as I needed to find the right angle for the cable to start charging.
So I took my device apart:

and applied new solder above the already soldered pins that are coming out of the port right behind it.(connected to the motherboard)
I did that without taking the port out or replacing it but just applied new solder on the pins.
The problem seems to be fixed now and charging and otg seem to be working (so far;)).

So it seems that what's causing the problem wasn't corrosion but pins that were desoldered due to stress  (or maybe the thorough cleaning with alcohol fixed it :D)

Although not everything went smooth:
At first attempt the pins were shorted and a "usb connector connected" appeared at booting and only otg worked and charging wouldn't and the port area was getting hot.
At the second attempt the vibrate and the home/menu/back buttons didn't work so I reconnected all the ribbon connectors. And it worked.

That's it :silly:
