About scroll cache

Hi,

I have a quick question about the scroll cache, and I've been looking into how to disable it.

However I'm wondering, how does disabling a cache make scrolling smoother? From what I understand, the cache loads the next 5 listviews, thus speeding up rendering. So how does turning this off make scrolling smoother?
