I noticed there is no South African Galaxy S3 thread, and thought I'd start one where you can discuss and review problems etc.
Personally I bought my S3 earlier this week. (The Pebble Blue 32GB version from Vodacom) I am very happy with it, but I have noticed a very short battery life and some strange signal behaviour (signal sometimes randomly drops to 0 and then returns), but this only happens on areas where the signal isn't too strong to begin with. The only reason I mention it is that my previous phone (S1) did not do this. Also my S1 has a much better battery life, but it is running Jelly Bean, so that is probably a reason why.
How does everyone else find their S3 working on different networks etc? Has anyone from SA rooted their phone and/or installed new firmware? And if so, which modem did you use, and how is reception?
