Update*(100% working)
1) Settings> applications manager> all> nearby devices> clear data
![]()
2) Now on your Wifi
3) go into nearby devices and on it... if pop up comes click ok
4) now just dnt let the screen get off just wait for sometime and it will turn on (approx 1-2min)
===========================================
....Other method.... (dnt waste your time with this method)
On ur Wifi... go to
Wifi settings > advance
Do this in order(it only works for me if I do it in this order)
1) unckeck check for internet services
2) uncheck network notifications
3) keep Wifi on during sleep-never
Now turn off your Wifi...
Go into the nearby devices menu
Pulldown the notification bar n turn on Wifi...
N bingo all the greyish menu disappears n u can turn nearby devices on....;)
If it doesn't work pull down notification turn off Wifi n turn on again...
Still not working revert all settings back and come from start...
It's a trail n error thing... sometimes works sometime It doesn't... will try to pin down the problem when free... hopefully...
I never got it to work with the above method... but who knows may be u can...

I use a different method.
I go to settings / storage and unmount SD card. Then I activate nearby devices / file sharing. When it switches on you can go back into settings / storage and mount the SD card again. Works 100% of the time for me on LFB. Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium |
